Terms and Conditions:
London School of Feng Shui Training Programme
These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between the London School of Feng Shui and each student enrolling in the training programme.
By enrolling in the programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.
1. Enrolment and Your Place in the Programme
Enrolment in the programme reserves a place for you in the training or course for which you are registering. Your enrolment represents a commitment to participate in the programme as offered for that year.
Your place is confirmed once your enrolment has been accepted by the school and the required deposit or payment has been received.
2. Tuition Covers the Full Programme
Tuition fees apply to the full training year and not to individual weekends, classes, modules, or online sessions taken separately.
When you enrol, you are committing to the full programme for that period. Tuition is charged for the programme as a whole, including the structure, teaching, materials, and your reserved place within the group.
In the two-year period, tuition applies to the specific school year in which the student is enrolled. Fees for the second year of the programme will be announced in advance of the close of the first school year.
3. Payment Options
Students may either pay the tuition in full or choose an agreed payment plan.
If you choose a payment plan, this is offered as a convenience to spread the cost of the full tuition over time. It is not a month-to-month membership, subscription, or pay-as-you-go arrangement.
By enrolling on a payment plan, you are agreeing to pay the full tuition amount for the programme year.
If paying by monthly instalments, students agree not to cancel the payment plan for any reason without the prior written agreement of the school.
4. Deposits, Refunds, and Withdrawal
All deposits and tuition payments are non-refundable, except where the school cancels the programme or is legally required to provide a refund.
If you choose to withdraw from the programme after enrolling, this does not cancel your financial commitment to the full tuition for that year.
If you have paid in full, no refund will be given, and if you are paying by instalments, any remaining balance will still be due according to the agreed payment plan, even if you withdraw, stop attending, or decide not to complete the programme.
5. Attendance, Missed Sessions, and Repeating Classes
If you miss any part of the programme, including weekends, online sessions, or other scheduled elements, this does not reduce the tuition fee and does not create a right to a refund, credit, or cancellation of remaining payments.
If a student wishes to review or repeat classes already attended in a future year or cohort, a repeater tuition fee will be charged at the rate set by the school at that time.
6. Deferment
Deferment to a following year or another course is not automatically granted. Requests for deferment will be considered only in extreme circumstances and entirely at the discretion of the school.
If a student is granted deferment, the school reserves the right to determine the terms of that deferment, including whether additional fees apply.
7. Late Payments and Default
Monthly payments not received within 10 business days of the due date may incur a late payment fee of £25 ($30) per overdue instalment. Students experiencing difficulty with payment should contact the school as soon as possible.
If a payment remains overdue, the school may suspend access to classes, recordings, handouts, photos, and other programme materials until the account is brought up to date.
If a payment plan remains in default after written notice from the school, the outstanding balance may be referred for recovery. The student remains responsible for the outstanding amount due and for any reasonable recovery or collection costs incurred by the school, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Recordings, Handouts, and Course Materials
Recordings, handouts, and course materials are for the personal use of the enrolled student only. They may not be shared, copied, forwarded, transferred, or distributed without the school’s prior written permission.
Students have access only to the recordings, handouts, and materials for the specific year of the programme in which they are enrolled. Materials from other years of the programme are not included.
The school will provide recordings of all online sessions. These recordings will be made available on the student online platform and will remain accessible for up to two years after the completion of the relevant school year. Recordings are for viewing only and are not available for download.
While the school intends to provide complete recordings wherever possible, there may be occasions in which a recording is unavailable, incomplete, or impaired due to technical or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the school will make reasonable provision through supplementary materials.
The school reserves the right to make class recordings available to other cohorts within the programme for teaching, review, and training purposes. By enrolling, students understand and agree that their recorded participation, including their name, image, voice, comments, and questions, may appear in those recordings and may be made available to other cohorts within the school. The school will handle such recordings in accordance with its privacy practices.
9. Photos
The school reserves the right to take photographs during school activities for educational, promotional, and school-related purposes.
The school will normally announce when photographs are being taken, and students who do not wish to appear in a photograph may step out at that time. It is the student’s responsibility to do so.
By enrolling in the programme, students understand and agree that photographs taken in this way may be used, published, and distributed by the school.
10. Student Conduct
Students are expected to participate in a respectful, mature, and appropriate way that supports the learning environment of the school.
Any concerns about school operations, communication, scheduling, teaching, or other school matters should be brought directly to the school administrator so they can be addressed appropriately.
The school does not accept rude or disrespectful communication, abusive language, inappropriate behaviour, or conduct that disrupts the programme or negatively affects the safety, wellbeing, or learning environment of the school. This includes communications made in person, by email, message, or on social media to students, faculty and administrators, whether those communications are directly or indirectly connected with the school.
Where appropriate, the school will give one warning and the opportunity for the behaviour to be corrected. If the behaviour continues, the school reserves the right to remove the student from the programme.
If a student is removed on this basis, no refund will be given, and any outstanding tuition under the agreed payment terms will remain due.
11. Personal Responsibility, Safety, and Limitation of Liability
Students take part in the programme voluntarily and are responsible for their own personal wellbeing, health, safety, decisions, and participation, whether attending online or in person.
Students are also responsible for the safety, security, and care of their own personal belongings and property at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the student agrees that the school, its director E.J. Shaffert, teachers, staff, contractors, venue providers, and representatives shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, expense, delay, or disruption arising out of or in connection with the student’s participation in the programme, attendance at any event, use of any online platform, or presence at any venue, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
12. Programme Changes
The school reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the programme where necessary. This may include changes to dates, times, venue, teachers, content sequence, delivery format, or other practical arrangements.
Where possible, reasonable notice will be given of any significant changes. Such changes do not constitute grounds for cancelling tuition or requesting a refund, provided the essential substance of the current year’s programme is still delivered.
13. Confidentiality and Respect for the Group
Students agree to treat the personal sharing, experiences, questions, and contributions of other students with discretion and respect.
Any personal material shared within the group should remain confidential unless explicit permission has been given by the person concerned.
14. Certification
Professional certification is granted only upon successful completion of the full two-year training and fulfillment of all certification requirements set by the school. Professional certification is not granted after one year of study or upon completion of any shorter-format course.
Certificates will be issued once the school once the student’s certification requirements have been successfully completed.
Above all: Everyone in the school is committed to creating a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment that fosters the greatest growth, confidence, and fulfilment for each student.
